Just seen on Sharkit's site that Renaud is offering a conversion kit for the proposed F-8 Crusader slew-wing for 18 Euros.  There's not much info, but I'm sure if you're interested an e-mail to Renaud will answer any questions.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

That could make for some interesting whiffs!!!

This also raises another possibility - what if VG wings as we know didn't develop and rather the oblique wing style happened instead?  After all Blohm und Voss had it planned for their BV P 202 back in '45/'46:

Oblique winged F-111s, F-14s, Tornados, MiG-23s anyone?

BLEGH! Sorry, but I'm one of those who can't stand them. To me they don't look cool, just inelegant, unnatural, and downright ugly.  :ill:  :ill:  :ill:

But whatever floats yer boat I guess. Nothin' personal.

You could display it hangared Lee, the slew wing would be useful for storage, especially on a navalised version.  A storage setting may allow it to be pushed back futher than it's flight position?

Rat, I know what you mean, I mostly posted for others interest, I'm not planning on any slew wing projects.  I'm a bit ambivalent about slew wings, they give an aircraft a very odd look, but at the same time I like odd looking aircraft..... :dum:    :dum:

The concept predates the B&V design:

The Breazu's were Romanian.

Their design looks like something for Radish. :)
