Hunter F.6B (P1109B) 43 Squadron

Rolead

To help bolster the air defense for Great Britain the Hunter was used in a second line air defense role. Here is 43 Squadron based at RAF Leuchars that received the F.6B with radar and Firestreak missiles. This version also had the up rated afterburning Avon engine and carried the extra fuel tanks on the wings.
