Been a while since i posted up a finished build on here

So here we go.
This is the CAC 31 jet trainer project. Im told it dates from around the time the RAAF was getting its Mirage III's into service. And only got as far as a mock up.

Its a very basic 11 part resin kit from some guy (cant remember the name) down under. this one came to me via TSRjoe. (thanks joe ;D)

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

You've really pulled off that Aussie camo, Martin! Those yellow trainer stripes really make this one a head turner!

The kit is by Uncle Les resins and may be available from Souther Sky models in Australia. They also did the CAC Ca-23.

Funny looking little beastie, eh ? Almost looks like a toy, or one of them yellow wooden shoes. Nice job, tho ! The yellow stripe kinda gives her an Argie feel. Or maybe it's the camo colours ?

It turned out great Martin  I have the CA-31 CAS version which I hope to do justice some day. Mine does not have any undercarriage so I will have to find something from the spares box for it.

Did the decals come with the kit?

Just a point to note (this traps most non Aussie modellers) the roos on the wings should have their heads pointing towards the leading edge with their feet pointing towards the fuselage, otherwise paint and decals look great.
