"Liz" will eventually be in No.5 sqn markings for when they were assigned to NEAF at Akrotiri in the early 60s to defend the base & its Vulcan bombers. When the ongoing Konfrontasi conflict between Indonesia & Malaysia escalated in '65 a detachment of Lightnings from No.5 was sent initially to Singapore, then to Hong Kong & placed on QRA to deterre Indonesian Badgers & Blinders.
