Hey Guys, are Roundels ok to use for ASR Markings??????? wasn't sure, so thought i'd ask. don't mena to sound like a Nut!!!!!!! thanks for looking.

Depends on the subject.  Where the military provides a civil SAR service, then yes, you'll see roundels on them.  Where the service is provided by a Government body (such as a Coast Guard) or private contractor, then the aircraft are unlikely to carry roundels.

In the UK, you'll see SAR markings on a plethora of types & services.  Roundels on yellow RAF Sea Kings in yellow with roundels, grey & red RN Sea Kings.  No roundels on Coast Guard helicopters, CHC or Bristow operated.

Basically, Millitary SAR: Roundels, Civil SAR: No Roundels
