Well, it WAS going to be a very simple whiff

This is not the best fitting kit I've ever had, the whole fuselage is twisted so there probably won't be any photos taken looking straight along it because it wasn't my intention to build a corkscrew. As a result I came close to binning this evil little bit of plastic, but what the heck, I've got this far. The whiff component will be stunningly subtle compared to my usual idiotic ideas, in fact the mods required have already been done, just took a wee bit o' putty and the drilling of one tiny hole. Still got to write the back story, shouldn't be as long as War and Peace.  ;D

Anyone who can actually get as far as PAINTING an early Minicraft anything deserves serious respect Mr. Rat sir!

Until they did their MD80 series most of the moulds seemed to have been designed by two committees who were not on speaking terms with each other...... :-\

They were probably using the box art for reference material when making the masters.

I did the Pan Am version but it went together pretty easy, not even a dab of putty but the pinstripe decals around the nose were a bit of a bugger. I must have got a good one!

Painting has begun. The whiff aspect will be both extremely subtle and extremely noticable. Clear as mud?  ;D

I think you just nailed it! Makes sense, he drilled a whole (for the tail wheel).

Just started decaling, and they aren't responding to Micro Set. Lovely.  :banghead:

If you're using the Minicraft decals that's not too much of a surprise........  <_<

Hold on folks, I'm lost here: Isn't there a taildragger DC-4 that was finished just days ago in another thread?? Or is it one and the same project?

Same one, I start a new thread once a project is finished.
