Melbourne Cup Day - what do you do with it?

The citizenship test still involves questions about Don Bradman. And I have failed the practice version twice (my year nine classes have to present debates, one of the topics is on the citizenship test being easy, so they tend to try it out, fail, and then see if any teachers can pass. So far none of us have.)

And I can reveal my project to be this:

A new, upgraded, more indestructible version of the classic Khemri Khottage. And not just one. Several will be built, although in all likelyhood, only one will be built on Cup Day as I will be photographing it to make an Ishoo of Terrain For Hippos.

Nice.. I will rat through the stash tomorrow and find something that needs a ...rebirth.

Plus I just worked out my build will be a handicap event.. I have a model club meeting on Tuesday night 
So there goes 3 hours of valuable build time.

Never mind.. I will give it my best.

I love holidays like these. Mainly because the 1 day holidays in Denmark are on Mondays, Thursdays or Fridays, and are thus treated as extended weekends. Specially the Thursdays, where schools stay closed Friday. I'm usually able to finnish a model in that time.

australia's citizenship test thingee used to have stuff about don bradman on it. he was a great cricketer to be sure but I'm pretty sure plenty of people out there managed to be great assets to this country without knowing his batting average

Lol, the Danish test included quite a few of the "When did Denmark win the [Insert: Handball/Football/Tennis/Table Tennis/Golf/Le Mans] [Insert: World/European/Scandinavian] championship?"

Ideas:

Natter = giant cruise missile fitted on the A-10

A-10 = UAV

Combine and do a Mistel, with the natter flying the unmanned A-10 to the target. You might want to fit a small jet to the Natter.

I'll be posting mine on Terrain For Hippos (my blog for those sub-rock dwellers) as a full step-by-step article. I've got it built, and the textured paint and sand is currently drying.

Pre cup update...

Undercoat.. and getting stressed over the gaps I found.. I hate gaps.

Post cup update: Waiting on paint to dry (had to use two coats, but it's fast drying stuff), and while waiting constructed a second building, this one larger with two wings and a dome. In all honesty, if I wanted to, I could porbably build a whole Khemri Khottage villages in a day. I know, my speed is Shocking.

Buzzbomb - if you're doing your Frankenfighter as a Luftwffe build I wouldn't worry too much about gaps.  Brother Narses can testify as to the size of the gaps on the wing root of the Me262 at RAF Hendon, big enough to put your hand in (they were built by slave labour after all).
