Hot damn! Looking good! Love the pilots too (could've sworn one just MOVED while I was looking at your pic, they're that realistic!).

Why the hell haven't I built a single Phantom yet? It's one of my very favorite aircraft.

So masculine...brute force...arg-arg-arg!!! Last of the true "muscle-car" planes!

Hasegawa, Italeri or other? Actually they're both pretty good. The Italeri one is simple yet servicable IIRC.

Aw, you guys are too kind ! You can't hardly see 'Guy and Pierre' in that photo ! But I'll accept the kind words and say 'thanks !'

All the Phantoms in my build here are 48th scale Monogram and Testors kits......the Testors kits come with both C/D/J and E/F type noses, as well as two cannon/ecm fits.

I'd like to grab a recce bird to go along with them, either that, or grab one of Belcher Bits resin sets for the 104, and use the Vicon camera pod........

And a T-tailed Phantom is a Voodoo, Nevster !

Also: a VG/Swing-wing variant, a twin-tailed variant, and a delta-winged variant.

If you'll recall the old Monogram box-art with a Phantom landing (or taking off?) cycling its landing gear, I'd like to reproduce that moment as well...

Heh, especially if it's a Voodoo modified to flight test the J-79. I've a pic somewhere of that one with the GE logo prominent on the vertical tail. *G* I've also been told that this aircraft was used for some other interesting tests.

*chuckle* That may take a considerable while as I have no idea whatsoever which box holds it. Eventually, yes, in the immediate future, highly unlikely.

I do apologize, but things haven't been fully sorted out for three or four moves now.

I do remember some of the basics, though. It was a single-seater but with the longer burner housings of the two-seater and J-79 nozzles on the end of them.

Yep, that's it save that the pic I have has the big, round GE logo on the vertical tail.
