Your paintwork is sharp as a tack, Allan and a real inspiration to me.

You have the skills of an artist sir.

Thanks very much, fellows. More photos soonish once I have finished the paint touchup and put on a light wash with Tamiya thinned smoke--will be using it for the first time. Any tips???
Off to Sydney on a day trip tomorrow to do some shopping, have a curry and perhaps practice my Hindi!!!
Monday is a hol here in Canberra and Tuesday I have the day off to take the car to the garage to get it repaired, so might have some time to do some work then.

Here she is slightly weathered with some dry-brushed unthinned Tamiya acrylic smoke and ground charcoal. A little more to do, inclulding the undercarriage. She won't have any ordnance attached. Noticed I have run out of silver paint for chipping and so will have to get some tomorrow. I'll go for a matt silver.
Here's the modelling grotto with an improved view now that recent and very welcome Canberra rain has turned everything a delightful shade of green.

Oh yes! You seem to always get the details right, Allan!

Your Sabre is a treat to watch coming together and that shot of your workbench looks like a bit of paradise to me.

Allan

Thanks Bri. I always feel good about my modelling once the decals are on and I'm in the home stretch. Perhaps we all think the same in that respect.
I'm working on the undercarriage now. The canopy will be next. But before that, perhaps one more annointing with Dullcote.

Allan

Here she is now with only the airbrakes, tailplanes and canopy to go. I'm really in the home stretch now with only a furlong to run!!!!!

Thanks, mate. The yellow on the airbrakes needs to be retouched and I'm uncertain whether I should do this after or before they are attached to the fuselage.

This has got to be one of your most striking projects yet Allan! You truly have an artist's eye for color schemes!
