Hello all:

Today was our annual model show and competition here in Brno. Last year there was a small whiff display, this year the whiff contingent was about three times bigger and some wild stuff was there. Unfortunately, the camera was with my girlfriend as she took it to Ireland with her and she was returing today (if only the show was tomorrow!) but I did mannage a couple of passable pics with my phone's camera.

These two were particular jaw droppers:

This camo looked SO right on the Lanc it was unbelievable. The photo isn't so hot but you can get the jist.

This 1/72 B-50 was another knock out. I love how the modeler wrapped the silver from the undersides around the edges of the wings. The skeleton hand nose art is a great touch too.

Do I read correctly? There's a Whiff SIG Branch in Brno? Magic stuff!  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

They are both beauties but I think I like the B-50 best just by a hair.

Geoff

There is some excellent stuff in the What If Gallery.

nice work!!

The second and third links definitely are the same guys. The Lanc and B-50 were built by the same guy. A lot of the models you see in the gallery of the Czech whiff SIG were at the show.

Considering that the modelers were from quite a few places around the country, I would say it's probably a very strong possibility that anyone going to Eday might be able to view some of them there.

I've seen the Lanc before but it dosn't diminish it's beauty or the skill in the model but the B-50 is another stunner.

At E-day last year we had quite a chat with some of the Czech WIF boys (SIG46) - some lovely stuff on display. I even have their business card on my desk, so I have their contact details if anyone would like them.

I'll probably take a DVD with the Newsletters on it for them this year.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

good idea chris.  I gave them a set of the older news letters to play with last year. they were amazed to find they were not alone as whiffers
