To populate my "Douglas Decimator" whif on which I am currently working, I decided to raid the crew (excellent, by the way) of my Airfix Dauntless kit. I had been saving that crew for a future RW Dauntless tribute build (using the Hasegawa Dauntless, but some Airfix parts, including crew), but the crew is perfect for my Decimator and I won't be doing the Dauntless anytime soon, so I have some time to replace them. I don't need the Dauntless KIT, just the crew.

It used to be that crew figures were included in all aircraft kits. Some were TERRIBLE for a variety or reasons, but so MANY model aircraft kits these days don't even have crew figures any more. I know many aircraft modelers prefer to NOT put crew in their planes. For me, it is essential. I have a large stash of pilot figures to choose from, but most are unworthy of a good build. The Dauntless gunner figure has his hands up for grasping the machine guns, and both the gunner and pilot figures are matching figures and "dressed" as US Navy crew.

So if you can spare the crew, your humble Sequoiaranger would be appreciative.

PM inbound.  That gunner is in the Airfix Beaufighter as well.  I think...

Thanks, Barry, for the offer of the Airfix Devastator crew, which I believe is similar, if not identical. I have the pic of the Dauntless crew here:

The gunner has his fists out (though with blocky arms that will need ameliorating). The crew have the goggles on top, and the long "jowls" of the flight helmet. That's the "look" I'm looking for. This particular pair might be in the Devastator kit or some other Airfix product, but this is what I am requesting. A padded envelope should suffice for mailing--the figures are pretty sturdy with nothing delicate to break off (legs can be put back on easily).

If I get more than one set from y'all, that would be fine, too, as I will probably include at least the pilot in an upcoming US Navy "Brewster Bison" build from a cut-down MPM Buccaneer that I just ordered (see my Gallery for some additional details).

BTW, my address is:

I can certainly provide the pilot and plenty like him.  The gunner is similar to the one in the Airfix Beaufighter but it's been years since I saw one of those figures.  I *might* have one in a spares box somewhere but couldn't swear to it.  I'll have a look.
