My mistook according to Aeroclub: "Resin Fighter Nose for Hasegawa RF-101A/C kit"
I guess there is some of the nose aft of the radome.
Perhaps the little metal bits are the gun fairings?

I've got that set, there some white metal parts which are the fairings for the guns and a solid lump of resin which is a straight replacement if you cut correctly. BTW, Airwaves make a very similar product.

Here's another nose Airwaves does for the F-101

Revell makes both of those kits in 1/48 and sells them in Michael's Arts and Crafts chain stores everywhere.  They're both around $15-25 and with their weekly %40 coupon can be bought for cheap.  DML also makes a 1/72 P-61 with Eduard PE included.  Take a run to a Michael's store if you can, they should have 2-3 of each.

Aurora AH-56A Cheyenne.  I saw one the other day at Dean's Hobby Stop for $80; this is a bit too much for me even now.

Dean's?  As in the Dean's in Flushing, MI, that's an hour from me?  Are you another Michigan Whiffer, or stop by online?

As for a kit I'd like to see in production again, I've got two:

1) 1/144 P-3 (forget from who).  I've got so many ideas involving the P-3...
2) Italeri YF-23, only because I like that plane (and don't have near enough of them in the stash   ;D )
I exist to pi$$ others off!!!

Ah.  I should have made it clear that a) I was referring to The One True Scale (1/72), and b) I'm in the UK.  We can get the Dragon P-61 but I'd be too mean to buy it and too scared to build it!   I guess even an old FROG P-61 would be OK asit's only for whiffing.
And has anyone ever done an RAF Black Widow in the standard night fighter finishof Medium Sea Gey and Dark Green (plus Night undersides for Intruders)?  Would that sceme make it a Grey Widow?? ;D ;D

I order from Dean's Hobby Stop in MI all the time, and I have been impressed with their excellent service and fantastic selection.  In many cases he has a kit, still in factory shrink wrap for much much less than retail.

I am not in MI; I am in FL, but with mail order it is no problem.  I recently was on an F-104 kick, and ordered every 1/72 F-104 that he had.

If you can get your hands on the Bilek 1/72 Black Widow kit, that's just a reissue of the Dragon and for rather less money. (around here in the Czech Republic anyway)

Looks like they still produce them and you can order straight from Bilek:

As for how to wiff one for RAF; how about Coastal Command grey/green over white with high demarcation line. Load her up with rockets, upgun her to 40mm cannons in her belly and send her off ship busting over the cannel.

Should give surfacing U-boats a scare.
