Yesterday I watched a "Wings of the Red Star" episode focussing on large Soviet transports, ending with the Antonov An-225. I was wondering what it (and other) aircraft might look like if the wing root were enlarged significantly, to better blend the wing and fuselage. The Airbus A380 goes a long way towards this ideal. It's wing root is HUGE! Imagine a B-52, a C-47 or a B-17 with its fuselage almost buried in a blended wing root.

Alas, I haven't got access to a computer right now (except at the library) so my ability to try some of these whifs out is extremely limited. Is anyone else interested in doing something like this?
Not older than dirt but remembers when it was still under warranty.
