The last 6 weeks or so have been very hectic and after a lot of long drives and thinking i have come to some conclusions about this site and my future contributions to it. I love this site and enjoy it thoroughly, its packed with great people who are never too busy to help or encourage. However, I have spent a lot of money on models that are out of all proportion to the amount of kits i have finished. This is my fault and I plan on making some changes that will alleviate this years long problem:

K.I.S.S. it!- Take on smaller conversions and easier builds to get the stash down, along with getting more completed builds in a shorter span

Fewer pictures- I spend way to much time taking pictures and uploading them. I plan on taking just a few here or there to show my GB participation and leave more time to write comments on other GB builds. There are tons of sites/threads that show better build steps as it is. I want to show pics of finished stuff anyway!

Big threads- I hope to start a couple threads like the inspirational Empires Twilight by our very own Thedarkmaster:

Ken Duffey has some excellent Russian models and this has made me want to do a Russian What-if version thread on this site. Hope to do armor, figures, and anything else i can slap a red star on along with aircraft. Also want to do a Sci Fi type thread. I plan on focusing on these two for the next year at least.

After whining that there were no GBs going on i plan to join the next few GBs that pop up so i can put my money where my mouth is!

I thought long and hard about this and even briefly thought of giving up the hobby, but this site is just too much fun. So I thought i would tell my friends whats been on my mind and what to expect in the future...Its great to be back

Sounds like a plan - don't give up on the hobby change what you do. "Mutate and survive" I think is the quote.
Me, I'm Wiffed out at the moment, so I am doing some real world stuff for the Cold War SIG, mainly early post war stuff. It's not I have run out of Wif ideas I just need a change for a few weeks.
(I think the Soviet/Russian build thread continues in secret tovarish!)

Know what you mean about taking pictures: I've decided to cut back on it, only taking/posting them when they show either real progress or a genuine point of interest, rather than "here's the three bits I glued on tonight".

I never take pictures as i build as it just slows me down and interupts the flow of the build
