while im still having development problems with my navalised He70 and Do228, i thought i would slim the stash a bit by building one of the 2 revell 1/144 F-15A's i bought some time ago.

the aircraft has been modified with an IFF antenna in front of the nose, a new tracking sensor under the nose, scratchbuild centerline, underwing and intake pylons. sideline hardpoints are from a 1/144 A-6E Intruder, but by the looks of it and the perfect fit, i guess these were intended for a DML F-15E but were in the kit cause of the clusterbombs in the same sprue.

as for the paintjob, i decided to paint it in a USAF vietnam style camouflage scheme, with Leutonian AF markings. main difference is the the 1/144 Eagles are Single seaters, but if you turn the canopy back-to-front, it looks lke a 2-seater.

i have parts for another strike eagle and another 1/144 F-15, so maybe i could build it as an F-15I, -K, -S or -SG  ;D

here are some in progress pics, first 2 are from after the main assembly a few days ago, the other 2 are with the first base coat applied.

Its looking good Nils, I am always impressed with anyone who has the patience to build these microscale kits.
Hats off to you Nils

sorry it took a while, but she's as good as finished, all that needs tobe done is to cover up some grey bits on the cluster bombs, the Litening pod and the sidewinders.
the 2 JDAM's are in fact 2 1/72 Mk.82 from a matchbox A-7 Corsair. but i painted them up to look like JDAM's.

unfortunatly, i had a little (big) problem with the canopy, the glue kinda expanded while she was drying  >:(
next time im getting some of the revell glue with a brush to overcome that problem

The colours on this one are just superb Nils. Love the heavy load as well. Nice job on the JDAMs.
