I can see your edit in the post, but can't see a 3-view so far.

Not sure if this is the problem, but the 3-view is to the right of the magazine article, not below it.

Sorry if that was confusing: they're both tall & narrow pics so I thought they could go alongside each other.

If I click on the article image it goes to a photo viewer, when I click the 'next' arrow to see the next image, it says that the next image could not be loaded

The viewer works fine for me, including for the three-view, but only if I switch off a Firefox add-on called 'Dark Viewer' that I use 'cos it's easier on the eyes. If I don't switch it off, I just get a white screen with no menu of thumbnails at the bottom. Do you have any add-ons/apps/extensions/ad-blockers that might be interfering with it?

Yet another type with NACA flush intakes that didn't make it into service. Was there EVER an aircraft with those intakes that did?

Nope, another one of those ideas that worked well at small scale but that didn't scale for use as
the primary intake for a turbojet. Works well for ancillary system intakes and in the automobile
realm, but there's still a limit on size in regards to required flow.

Thanks, Jon!

Cute little bit of work. I think the insufficient intakes would be an easy fix, just give it the gaping gulpers that everything else had/has.

What a neat looking machine, well spotted H.

Not a military type and not a large fast powerful type, but the BD-5J uses those inlet types. Doe's that count?

Definitely!

Well remembered, and I've built a model of a BD-5J too, so I should have remembered it!  :banghead:
