Who built 'em ? Which one's best ? Why-oh-why can't we have a section for each subject with finished builds and/or profiles ? Trying to find anything with the search function is no help at all.....

Got to agree about the search function but can you imagine how difficult and time consuming it would be to set something like that up ? Not to mention the ongoing commitment.

The search function is working as prescribed....a searcg of "variable Lightning" brings up the posts of Hobbes and myself, and "Royal Navy" brings up your post, Buzz.....hilarious !

A thread with one pic of each completed build or profile, with a link to the original thread, and dissabling the replies sounds easy for me. I'll be in charge of the Voodoo.

When I search for ' Variable Lightning' without the quotes,I get about 20 topics, including

Searching for 'navy lightning' gets me

I see it's now possible to search for short words as well, so a search for VG Lightning would work too.

If you want a search engine with more options, you can use Google, and add site:whatifmodelers.com to the search terms. This will return results only from this site. This way you can do searches for an exact phrase, etc.

It's just my experiences of dealing with the IT department at work would have expected any answer to begin "Oooooh, don't know about that, need to convene a steering group and that's not coming out of my budget"

Thanks for the help, guys. I think it may be Martin's aeroplane I was thinking of, maybe after the rebuild ? Once I find the one I'm thinking about, I'm stealing the idea, 'cause it just looks right to me !

And Chris, if I have to deal with the IT guys, or pay for it....I'm out as well !
