Any recommendations for wood glue?

Hey all,

My wife's purchased a ton of dollhouse furniture and promptly put me in charge of putting it together.  Since this stuff isn't IKEA, is there a recommended wood glue to use?  I was thinking of Gorilla Glue but I remembered that the stuff expands.  I was at Hobbytown today and was amazed at the varieties of wood glue they have.  Even Testor's has two kinds - brown tube (wood) and green tube (wood & metal).  Any good recommendations then?  I gotta pick some up later today.

I would just use ordinary PVA /school glue, and masking tape it together while it dries.  It is basically like a resin wood glue, and water soluble too.

There is a stronger grade available, usually called carpenter's glue. A good hardware store should have it.

I agree with the Rat. Avoid the Testors stuff, it's crappy and too expensive.

Agree also, Elmer's Glue-all multi-purpose (the school glue is formulated for paper, not as good) or better yet the carpenters' brown glue have worked well on my wood and card models.

Aliphatic resin.

Or hide glue if you want to go old-fashioned.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

As a former furniture re-finisher, I definitely recommend carpentry glue!
