Thought i should explain the things that have been getting in the way of whiffing.. The just finished RW build.. My own lil gulf war tribute..

Tornado GR.Mk1 ZD790/D
"D for DEBBIE"
Muhurraq Tornado detachment
No. XV Squadron RAF
As flown by the famous Squadron Leader
Pablo Mason and Squadron Leader Gary Stapleton

Operation Desert Storm Jan-Feb 1991

Pablo Mason led his formation of four Tornados (and sometimes two-four ships) on 19 hazardous bombing missions over Iraq. His first misson was the most frightening, a daylight low-level anti-airfield attack. His No.2 was shot down, it's pilot and navigator becoming POW's.

This is my model of his Tornado "D for Debbie"

Apoligies in advance or the quality of pics i admit im no photographer...

Looks nice ;D

What kit is this ? Italeri ?

ChrisF

no.. its actually one that was collected over several weeks with a magazine called "take off" ... This was years ago but i still had it in my stash... As far as i can see it seems to have many similarites with the Airfix build from the same time...

Oh just realised i forgot to mention its 1/72 too...  :)

Not bad at all for a magazine exclusive

Well done

ChrisF

Thank you..

It took enough filling sanding and swearing i can tell ya...  ;D

I collected that very same kit, can't remember if I got all the bits or not.  Nice job!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Very nice. It's the Airfix kit

Just did the Airfix GR.4 (which is based on the same kit), and it's a real dog.

Most of it went together ok apart from the air intakes.. which were the worst fit ive ever seen on any kit ever... apart from that it was fine... decals were a bit fun due to their age but i got there...
