Probably too big for the actual DKM ships with their amidships catapults, you'd likely need to go to a fantail mounted
catapult arrangement

Which means you'll lose the aircraft to muzzle blast unless you fly it off before the engagement begins.  The Fw 189 is really too large for such a role.  Its too big even for a carrier role.

True but the carriers which operated (or were intended to operate) those aircraft were considerably larger than the Graf Zeppelin, which is what I'm basing my comment on.

Not the same thing at all, as the Fw 189 was a battlefield-observation/tactical-recce type and the Ki 46 was
more of a strategic-recce aircraft. The Ki 51 and Fw 189 were more similar in terms of role.

The Fw 189 would be a good competitor for the Kyushi Q1W1Tokai as the two are fairly similar in specification.
