If you wanted to get truly picky, kit, even you fell short on the numbering code.

I was just trying to make the point that if it was a CF-10 it would have just the 10 before the other three digits.

The F-5 got called a CF-116 because that was the next available number, it got called a CF-5 by Northrop, see here which is from the link I posted.

Some un-official Canadian designations and popular names

Starting in the 1960s, several American aircraft manufacturers began referring to sales (or even potential sales) to the CAF by using the American designation with a "C" prefix. For example, the CUH-1N (really a CH-135), and the CF-5 (the CF-116). Even the Canadian press, and some members of the CAF, will use these unofficial designations from time to time. To add to the confusion, two of these names (the CF-5 and the CF-18) have been adopted as the official Popular Name.

Wow, such a response - Thanks, guys, really appreciate it. Guess I'll do everything from now-on with Maples !!.

On the serial numbers: I am fully aware that the ones I (incorrectly) used began with 104 - because I was using the Leading Edge Starfighter sheet. Simply, the decals are so thin, far thinner than Aeromaster, Microscale or any other decal I usually use, that I couldn't risk cutting them. You only get one shot at placing them, and if you scr*w-that-up there's almost nothing you can do to correct the problem.

Once again thanks for the great response. Next a double-build for the 'Operation Downfall' mini theme at the UK Nats. Neither of which will be Canadian, so I'm guessing there wont be nearly as much interest

Not a fan of the F1 (or any other "Mirage" for that matter) but that does look nice

You were the last person on my list to be "burnt as a witch (alright warlock...you old queen)......................you is now required to present yourself with the faggots of your choice to the town square prompto.

I think thou dust confuse me with Queen Caroline or Radish as he is known on this forumn  ;D Still I've always liked faggots and peas pudding  ;D ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
