IPMS Deutschland are holding their National show on 18th-19th September 2010.
It will be held at the Luftwaffe Museum at Gatow Airbase which is a short drive from the centre of Berlin and has a very good and wide aircraft collection.

If you can't find the Museum with online mapping, try entering the address as RAF Gatow even though we moved out in 1994! ;D

This is the same weekend as E-Day in Prague. I plan to attend either of these but will decide based on how many of us want to go where.

I'll try to be at the Berlin event. Was there last year with a friend and it was a cool trip.   >>HERE'S<< IPMS Deutschland's photo-report of the 2009 event.

>>HERE'S<< a link to the German Google Maps view of the place. The resolution is fantastic. You can make out a lot of the aircraft and other exhibits., although these pics seem to be rather old. When I was there last year, a couple more aircraft were out in the open. The hangars also house aircraft and many other exhibits such as rockets, radars, flight gear and so on.....

If you look at the western end of the map section, you can see the F-104 ZELL test-bed. Here's a pic I took last year (note the shape carried under the fuselage).

Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Whatever you do, DON'T miss going into the hangars to see the full-size displays there! Their depiction of an Me-163 being readied for flight is just SO believable, you keep on wondering if your shoes can resist C-Stoff and T-Stoff........
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
