First off, only 21 members added info to the Sway thread which is where all the nominations came from.  Would love to see this number at least double for 2010.  Who knows how many great backstories, profilers or builds didn't even get chance at an award this year.

Ok, off my soapbox, now the good stuff.

There were 1016 votes cast in the final voting.

Whiffie of the Year got the most with 59 voters and 10 categories had at least 50 voters which is way up over last years.

The lowest number of votes cast was 36 (in 2 categories).  While I would love to see everyone voting in all the categories, this was also way up from the lowest last year.

Jet aircraft had the most kits in the Sway thread with 67 in the initial nomination poll.  Alternate markings was second with 48.  May change how this works for the next year.  This year I pretty much put a sway thread nom in everything I felt it fit, not just what the person who added it thought.

Every category had the required 5 nominations (after I combined the two Most Improved categories).

Overall I think the new system worked pretty well even if it may not have really cut down the number of hours I put into this.

Also think making a Best Profiler and Best Imager instead of best profile and image worked pretty well but with the new system of only taking what is in the Sway thread, we may try the other way next year.

As always, the Academy appreciates any and all feedback.  As my boss likes to say, "Feedback is a gift, that can't be returned."

It would be interesting to see how many people voted (not the same as votes cast I think)  Just to see how much interest the Whiffies gained.

The polls don't give that kind of information but there were at least 59 voters as that was the number cast in the Whiffie of the Year category.  While there may have been some who only voted in a few and may not have voted in the main award category, I think that number would be pretty small.  This is a little over 5% of the total (not necessarily active) forum members.

Thanks Philip, I'm in the 95% who didn't mainly because I really don't like these types of events, on forums or anywhere else.
