The version with a single engine and single external float is even more what-if...
Thanks for the source!

Of course, I twinned it for my CGI topic (http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,20326.630.html), this was the goal, celebrating JHM source...

You've become so good at photo-editing, Tophe.  I will take a head-on pic against a plain background for you today, too.

There's a character that Louis Lamour (the western story author) had in his short stories, who flew around in something like this and set in the WW.II era.  It was either a Widgeon or possible a Goose, but when I look at your model Barry, that's what comes to mind.

Heh, heh, I read lots of L'Amour books as a kid.  I'll have to look that up, Robert.

'Night over the Solomons' was one of them, but there are a number of very short stories put into 'story collection' books, which are re-prints of some of the stories he wrote for 'pulp' magazines.

Love that you hand painted this little beaut!!!

Just one question, though:  Is it on loan from the USCG (ie, the USCG symbol on the nose)?   ;D ;D ;D

Ha, you caught it!  The decals for the British version are so very drab...professional but lacking a spot of color.  So I through on the USCG emblem up front.
Good eye!

If a model's got ANY USCG markings on it, I'll spot 'em!
I exist to pi$$ others off!!!

These are very exciting, Tophe!  I wonder if the second version from the top (two fuselages but still symmetrical) would actually make the craft that much more stable on the water...like a catamaran?
