Behold my new display cabinet!

I took delivery of my new display cabinet yesterday - my dad's been building it all year since I moved house. The new house doesn't have the pseudo mantlepiece thing over the electric heater, so there's less display space. Which is a problem with as many models as I have. So me and Mum convinced him to build be a cabinet. The worrying thing is that Mum looked at the dining room wall yesterday and said
"You need another one of those cabinets, but three times longer along this wall... it looks kinda boring."
Supportive parents, eh?

(Note dancing hippo on top. There will probably be a nice big SF build I have planned up there, but for the moment, it's a good hippo dancing spot)

Note how bare and forlorn the bookshelves look...
The way forward is clear! I must cover them! Cover them in the name of the Whiff Gods!

Nice one, you jammy so and so....

The only places that I'm contemplating display shelves/cases are at the top of our ten-foot walls, where mum can't possibly contemplate trying to dust them! (note that I'm more concerned about her breaking her neck than breaking a model).
