Hi
If there are any spare undercarriage or cockpits for WW2 or post war jets I would be interested? I have a few restoration projects that need bits to complete them.
Cheers
Sandy

QuoteAre these any use to you?

I'd be glad to take them off your hands! What can I do for you in exchange?

Ummm..... well I've got a big box of big bits like wings and fuselages, but what I really need in order to use them are the "tops and tails" bits like nozzles, nose cones, intakes, undercarriage, radial engine cowlings, cockpit tubs etc... (not canopies though - got another big box of them). A small handful of anything like that would be most welcome.

Sorry Sandy but I believe everything available is already going to a new home.

Right, I can do for you a 1/48th F-105 exhaust "tub", one 1/48th F-14 nozzle, two F-4 nozzles (again 1/48th I think), a 1/72 Vultee Vengeance R-2600 cowling (I can do two if ness.) and 3 Mig-17 type nosecones (bisecting inserts is the best way I can describe them - hope you know what I mean). That's about all that's not allocated at a glance. Is that ok?

Sorry, should have specified 1/72nd: the 1/48th bits are probably too big for me to use. The two R-2600 cowlings and the MiG noses would be okay on their own, but how about fewer cowlings & nose intakes and a small selection of the undercarriage parts you mentioned in the original post?

They're all in a jumble in a box hence them being a job lot!

I've managed to scrape together about a dozen or so various undercart pieces and a 1/72 nozzle in addition to the R-2600s and the MiG bits.

That'll do nicely then! I'll send you my addy by PM.

Just re-read the thread: I've got a pair of Matchbox G-91Y wings which are no use to me because the tops and bottoms are already glued together and I want to cut different u/c bays in them (for which purpose I now have another set). Since it seems you're sending me more plastic than I'm sending you, I'll chuck them in with the airliner wings if you like.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Wings winging their way as of midday.

I have alot of 1/700 spare parts- aircraft, ship arts etc that I just don't see a need for right now and I'm trying to clean up my hobby room ( too many kits and ideas- never enought time to do them) If anyone is interested- please send me a message and I'll see if what I have meets your needs.

THIS IS A GREAT SITE WITH GREAT MEMBERS!

Decals & bits arrived Bob, cheers!

See why you didn't want to split undercarriage & such, you'd have been doing it for a year & a day! :o
