Hello all:

I went to a small air display in the central Czech city of Pardubice yesterday. Here are some of the views in the static area.

As Pardubice is an air force town, we'll start with the local birds, L-39 Albatros. Of this threesome, only the grey one with yellow trim is a Pardubice aircraft, the aircraft in the middle is Slovak and the camoflaged one is from the Czech air base at Namest nad Oslavou:

Both Poland, Hungary and Slovakia all provided MiG-29s (only managed pics of the Polish and Hungarian ones):

Restorations and replicas of vintage aircraft were really front and centre at the show:

All comments welcome, enjoy!

Is this Plan B for EADS if the A400M goes totally belly up?

It's probably a hell of a lot more reliable that the A400M!!!

What an amazing variety of aircraft! I'm wholly impressed, and well done for superb quality pics there too Upnorth.

LOVE that Hurricane, where did it come from?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Thanks!

The Hurricane was in from Duxford.

The Hurricane flew earlier in the day and did a mock dogfight with a Hispano Buchon playing the role of a Bf-109.

Shortly after, a Spitfire Vb and an Fw-190 took to the air and did a mock dogfight.

Here's a link to the show homepage where you can see a topside shot of the Hungarian Fulcrum and the Tiger scheme of the Slovak one:
