Coming Soon (maybe) Rommel's Other Rod (no, not that)

I was very happy to pick up one of the rereleases of Rommel's Rod last year.  I have been after this kit since I lost the one I built as a teen during one of our moves.  Still need to get some half track parts (1/35th Tamiya Hanomag and some 24th scale replacement parts (2 MG-34s, couple of Jerry cans and maybe a Schmeisser, etc. 
But, was thinking it would be cool to do one with the six wheel configuration like the Mercedes G4 I think it was based on.  Then I saw the Surf version su27rules did in 72nd and now have the itch to get another kit.  Would have to try and cast two more sets of wheels using the front ones as a guide since I can't find a 1/24th scale kit of the Mercedes.
Model it for his use in Europe for trips to the Atlantic Wall so got to decide how to paint it (grey, black or tricolor camo).

So, if anyone has some 24th scale parts lying around they don't need, let me know and the more encouragement, the better.

Rommel's Rod is more a tracked 540K than a G4.
