Here is my latest project, a mate had his 1/48 TSR2 out on Friday night and was hypothesizing a few modifications to make a RAAF Gulf War jet. He got me thinking about a few mods myself so on Saturday I dragged out one of my 1/72 kits and started chopping.

Any guesses to the donor kit? :D

Looks like great minds think alike! I think the way you have integrated your forward fuselage works better than th eway I did mine. I wish I had seen your thread before I had a go I would have saved a lto of putty!

 Cheers Ray ---

It looks like you could still accomplish something along the same lines with your's.

I think the Tornado front end suits the TSR2 really well

Hi Robert,

Looks like you have put a lot more thought into your build, have you progress any further?

I rushed in and hacked and puttied away, I definitely wish I had seen your thread first, oh well.

I will use the Hindenburg tanks off the Airfix Tornado F3 for mine. I might even see how the Tornado tail gose on it as well :D

As for weapons, I might just stuff the weapons bay with an LGB or the like. I will have to wait and see after the putty and sanding dust settles.

No, I've sort of stalled on it at the moment, along with a few other projects I have going (STOVL Canberra, Sea Harrier F.13, EH-101 AEW and some others)

The Tornado fin and rudder, now that's a thought ------

I might try that with this other TSR2 project I'm thinking of, a TSR2 delta.  I think I'll stick with the Hindenburg tanks on the Eagle GR.7 and use some 1/48 Harrier tanks I was going to use and put them on the Delta instead.  I'm thinking of a high altitude recon bird.

Hmmm, I wonder where those delta wings come from?

Why does the number '105' come to mind......?  -_-
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'll change the plan form of the wings a bit, I asked TSRJoe if there was ever a consideration and he has said he would hook out a sketch he has of the Delta TSR2 for me to look at. Should be interesting.

That's pretty cool. Nice mating job there.
