First off, apologies for not setting this up sooner, but I've barely been on teh interwebz the last week

1)  Group Build runs from 1700, Friday 16th July to 0800 Monday 26th July (all times GMT).

2)  Any subject, any scale - but must be a what if

3)  You may build as many entries as you like (good luck!)

4)  "Preparation" work is allowed prior to the start of the GB - this includes the cutting out and cleaning up of parts, even printing your own decals (!), but anything involving paint or glue is not allowed.  Likewise, part started models are not allowed - we are relying on the honour of our membership to uphold this.

5)  There will be a prize for the best model, as voted on my the members of the forum

6)  The posting of in-progress pictures is encouraged as always.

7)  The winner from the previous year must build his prize (in this case Eddie M, who I believe won a Trumpeter 1/72 Wyvern)

8 )  No WMDs! (Whiffs of Mass Destruction).  This means no JASDF blue scheme, no Raspberry Ripple and no Israeli 3-tone - this is to stop "cheap" victories

9)  The use of LOLcats in your WIP threads is not mandatory, but it is highly encouraged.

I thought there was never a rule 6 ?

All ready to start on Saturday morning
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Dunc - if you think you can do a scratchbodge in a week, good luck!

Robert - People are welcome to do profiles to go along with a build, but as this isn't a "themed" GB, they don't really fit as a standalone (especially as doing a profile in a week is much easier than doing a model).  Backstories are always welcome, but again not as a standalone.

Talking to Robert, not Beowulf!  :banghead:[/size]

Oh yea, no pressure at all. Thankfully, I have thought out what I wanted to do with the Wyvern since I got it, so it's not gonna be a problem. The Wyvern will be the primary build and hopefully get a second one done as well.

Dam we're starting early this year! (run off to see the Doc for a few days & I find myself out of the loop!)

What's the rule on factory pre-painted kits (like the Revell Easy Kits or the Hobby Boss pre painted stuff) ? I've got a couple of ideas that I could squeeze in, both are based on pre-painted kits that'll get re-finished.

If you're repainting it, I don't see the problem.  Sorry for the early start - I had been lax and not organised it, when I did there were 2 windows, 1 in July and 1 in August, and the July date appeared more popular.

There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

Bah!  Next year, make the populace do what you want to!  You know as well as I that if you mod a GB and put your heart into it, it'll be more prolific.  GB ADD syndrome is still alive and well around here.

So, what revenge did Tiger exact on you???
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
