Well, maybe a slight exaggeration. The kit is one of the 1/160th scale series from Aerobase and is all photo-etched and white metal. Overall, the kit goes together nicely, definitely won't be the last one I build. One does have to be careful not to lose parts (ask me how I know ).

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Stunning job Steve!  Etch and me don't get on too well, if I tried that it would end up stuck to me or in the bin pretty quick!

For those of us on the east side of the Pond, what's the wingspan of the model?

Looks damn good no matter HOW small it is mind you.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

If the coin is an American penny, which I think it is, then the wingspan of the model has to be about 40mm, give-or-take.

Drive yourself mad?  I'd think you'd have to be mad in the first place to even attempt this! :o

Thank you everyone for the kind words!

The wingspan is 48mm and there are approximately twenty parts, the reason for the low parts count is that the model folds together. As listed on their website (I paid more from a local hobby shop), it is 2100 yen or $24.07 or 36.59 GBP.

Oh yes, I think you are indeed mad. Now do one for the Spruce Goose.

I suddenly feel so...sane...by comparison.

Amazing work.  I'd like to see a how-to series of pics for the PE on this little gem!

Thanks for the kind words!

John, I will do a build thread for the next model I build so I will take lots of photos.
