Some time ago, I lamented the fact that there were very few Bolo models on the Internet, even though they are so incrediblycool, and BAe have even built a small one (see Black Knight).
Well, this is a start towards fixing that: allow me to introduce Bolo Mark XX Model G, unit 2057-BRN.... but you can call him Brian.

I hope this inspires folks to build more of these...(hint, hint)!!

I have the folks at Pegasus for an excellent donor kit, that I heartily reccomend to any 1/72 armour fans!

Well, if you intend building any sort of Bolo, you should prepare yourself for assembling an unfeasable amount of roadwheels for a start!!
This is quite a small model (1/72), but I scale'o-rama'd it int 1/288 scale, so a person is about 2mm high next to it.  Then a suitable twin gun turret ( 2x 30cm Hellbores), and all the little gun turrets from a Republic Star Destroyer (16x Ion Bolt Infinite Repeaters) were fitted, along with 2x 1/24 scale bomb halves to make the flank armour.  To finish off, lots of greeblies from the spares box for point defence missiles / guns, and a lovely 'Dozer blade from a Kyosho Pocket Armour tank, and hey presto!! :tank:

Wow!  Finally a target worth using one of these on!

Nice builds.  I have a thing for tanks in sci-fi with the Bolos and Hammer's Slammers leading the way.
If I ever get what I need to build a Bolo it will probably one of these:

Nice one! I spotted the Maus, but the cammo's so damn effective that I couldn't figure out the rest!

Very inspiring Jester  I have been collecting tank models for years with the sole purpose of bashing up a Bolo. I just have to get off my butt and do it.
Yours is very coool   :tank:
