Reminds of something in comics years ago with them huge wheels, some Army bloke driving around WW2 in a camo Bently (I think?) and a 2000AD strip set in the Cursed Earth though neither were armoured as far as I remember.

The first example is Major Easy from 'Battle' - you can read the whole dang lot scanned for your convenience here. ('Captain Hurricane's Best Of Battle' - another one of Moose Harris' excellent series of retro british comic shrines.)
The second might be the 'Land Raider' from the original 'Cursed Earth' epic, but more likely one of the Mutie vehicles from the same epic.
