Chav scum :banghead:

Whats the definition of a Chav, exactly?  I've heard the term used but never seen a good definition so I can identify them if I ever seen one...  ;)

Chav definition (or the Wikipedia entry), with pictures of the beasts in the field. They seem to be common worldwide with some variations, just given different names.

Mmm, there appears to be an emphasis on "anti-social behavior" in their characters.  "Bogan" appears to be closest equivalent downunder but not the same "anti-social" emphasis in behavior.

As a parent of a run amok teenager, I'd like to apologise for whatever grief your local little dickheads have caused you. My wife and I raised both of our kids to be respectful, decent people, yet, within the last year, our 15 (now 16) year old daughter has decided that living amongst the street pukes, drug addicts and petty juvenile delinquients is "cooler" than home life.
God forbid you attempt to discipline a child now. Make any move that constitutes abuse (like holding the door shut when she tries to run away in socks at midnight, for example) and your life suddenly gets complicated. When that doesn't get the little shyt what she wants, then she runs away and claims abuse, triggering a fully intrusive investigation of our lives, which frankjly, I'd not wish on people I don't like.
Social services is all about protecting the children, I get that..but to the point of protecting them from order and civility? They do everything possible to filla mids head with the notion they are not responsible for anything, can do anything, and cannot be told what to do. No fracking surprise that the run amok. We've spent a year trying to "fix" the kid, to nothing but frustration and a marriage-destroying level of stress. Screwed up my life, my wife's life, and my son's life, all because one girl decided to be an donkey. Everyone in "authority" tells us that eventually she will be held responsible for her actions, yet every step down the road, all we see is another bunch abrogating their responsibilities. Even the local police do bugger all...she assaulted TWO RCMP constables, yet two months...TWO MONTHS later they haven't filed the paperwork yet for the assault charges.  She walked out of the courthouse laughing.
So, I'm sorry you had crap happen. If I had my way, my daughter would be experiencing the wonders of living in a boot camp for the next couple years, but we aren't rich. We're working class schmucks, destined to be screwed over by those sworn to protect and serve us, from the cops to the social workers to the politicians, and taken advantage of by those who should be there to help, like our own children. I've been told to mind my own business, that if I see others misbehaving, I should not interfere. It takes a village to raise a child...but it only takes a village idiot to ruin one. Unfortunately, our civil service, schools and support networks are full of village idiots. The responsible ones, us, we're the ones who suffer.

well if have to say I agree that it has now become "Cool " to have a ASBO, like the girl a few doors away, we have known her since she was 6 and was one of my daughters friends, a nice girl who would go out of her way to help people, and was so polite she was sicking at times, now she just turned 17 and is hanging around with her boyfriend who has gotten her pregnant twice now , she had the first child taken off of her because she was unable to look after it, has just received her 3 asbo for fighting when drunk, and she is loving the attention. her parents are at the end of there tether as they tried to spot her going out but were threatened by the police with false imprisonment if they do, and there younger children are now on the at risk registrar.
her friends are the ones the local police think are responsible for a spate of break in in the local area, to fuel the drug and drink live style.
things have gone to far now but the question is now how do we bring it back now the loony left have won the day and the rules are all on their side?
Me, I'm dishonest, and you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest.
Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to watch out for!!!
