Everything I've read about the Arrow makes a combo like that a bit redundant.  It was to be everything the Voodoo wasn't, so adding Voodoo bits to an Arrow airframe would be a waste of time.  Arrow tech into the Voodoo on the other hand is a different story.  Perhaps you could surmise that the failure of the Arrow allowed designers to integrate some of the Arrow's tech into an advanced version of the Voodoo as a cost-saving measure??

i was thinking more like using Arrow Tech on an F-101 as a Testbed for a More Advanced Voodoo or something that Used Arrow Tech with a Voodoo Airframe. how's that sound? Dan

Hmmm... you could easily suggest that in an effort to save the Arrow program, the Astra fire control system was abandoned. The CF-105 Mk II enters service with the PS-13 Iroquois engine, but the weapons system of the F-101.

I suppose the PS-13 might have found it's way into CF-101's... performance would be spectacular.

Or simply that Arrow design team concluded that the cockpit needs better visibility- instant reason to use that forward fuselage of the Voodoo?
