NEVER seen the Scimiter before, Nick, how old is that (superb) build ?? - Love the P-38 as well, great use of the TER's too

Ian

The Scimitar is from about a year ago.  Here is the build thread:

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Ian, I am surprised.  The Scimiter took the Whiffie for Best Sci-Fi last year.

And now AD is making a play for 2009.  And Eddie is giving him a run for his money.

Same here, you would think we would see more around

Star wars has a P-38:
... But yours is MUCH better.
Thanks Taiidantomcat, this gives me the third Sci-Fi new P-38 that I needed for my site of fantasy Lightnings 3 per 3...
- AeroplaneDriver's 5-seater unfinished
- AeroplaneDriver's 1-seater at a later step (simplified to be 'aero'dynamic the way I prefer)
- Star wars' one (simplified weapon-less my way)
I'll let you know when I have finished drawing... Thanks again, both of you. ;D
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

...but I like the "Scimitar", and the P-38 conversion looks pretty cool, too. If the propeller(s) powering the craft has seven or more blades (I-16 to Shinden OK, etc.), or if you can't hear the engine, it gets a blank stare from me. No offense intended. But I recognize good modeling work when I see it! And I see it!
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

To start drawing, featuring (the dreams produced by) your model, I have downloaded your space-38 pictures on my computer and... SURPRISE: the pictures are named Spectre... Will this be the name of this spacecraft?

Spectre is its name so far, so that's how I labeled the pics.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Here is the new addition to my fantasy P-38 site http://www.kristofmeunier.fr/#Sit
(I do not pretend this is the true model, just the dreams it nicely brought to me)

OK everyone...as threatened last month, I have returned to 'The Bench'.  I'm off to England this week, but tonight I've taken the plunge and dusted off the bench.  (For those who dont know my "bench" is an old rolling TV cart...perfectly sized and with nice shelves and drawers underneath for storage, which rolls out nicely into the living room...I dont like feeling like I'm sequestered away in a special room to build.)

To get back into the groove I've decided to finish off the build I was working on when I put the bench away for it's extended hibernation last year. It's been so long that I think I'll start a new thread, but wanted to post once more in this one to remind everyone where and when this started.

So head on over to the new thread in the SCI-FI Section to see how this machine, now known as the BBESS (Boeing/BAES/Embraer Space Systems) XAF-77 Falcon is going to develop...

So I got that going for me...which is nice....
