Impressive. Looks to me like a piece of fine teflon sheet wrapped around a blade, possibly vibrating at very high frequency and small amplitude.

Cruising around some of the related videos, it appears that it's a covering of some sort over a blade. The cover is passed over the blade at the inverse speed of the blade advance (i.e. the covering is "stationary" while the blade is moving forward) allowing for clean pickup. Still pretty cool tech, though.
