Can anyone tell me how in h*ll the engine is supposed to go together on the Legato Re.2000? The manufacturer obviously didn't deem it important enough to put into the instructions.

The cowl flap ring doesn't fit the airframe and the resin engine and cowl have nothing to be stuck onto???

I made a Supermodel Re.2002 a couple of weeks ago (a far superior model imo) and have the engine left over from that. Am I better off just using the supermodel engine and leaving the Legato one for the spares bin?

Use WHATEVER to enhance your model. When I was acquiring my huge stash (now gone), I deliberately got EVERY version of the plane I could, just so I could mix-and-match to get the best example. Nothing "forces" you to use what "they" give you. I have an old Supermodel Re-2000 from which you could use the engine if you desire.
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Thank you for the offer. I hear you but it's just so frustrating not being able to figure it out. I've made dozens of models with no instructions. It's usually pretty intuitive.

Probably going to stick a M-82 off of a La-5FN or a Su-6 (can't decide which look I prefer) to turn it into a "Soviet Seversky". I originally wanted the original Piaggio engine to masquerade as a M-88 (pretty much the same engine) but I have another supermodel Re.2000 I can paint up in Soviet colours.

Can you tell I like Reggianes (except Legato ones)!!!  ;D
