How about these destroyers in the Patchwork universe? Would any small states be interested in these boats.(Then again, these could be retermed "Missile Corvettes")

Absolutely! The State of the Art in PW is a bit behind your initial scheme (roughly 1970), so the Phallanx and RAM would be out and MM38 Exocets would be the latest thing and probably for high-end customers. I'd suggest a "coastal escort" fit: modern rapid-fire medium guns fore and aft, SeaCat-like SAMs and/or light AAA amidships, and short-range ASW weapons. It'd still need more deckhouses though, plus a decentshort-range radar fit.

Okay, you got my imagination working. Couldn't find a Wickes on Shipbucket, but thisis based on a Clemson, which is pretty much the same, updated for Patchwork World:

Notes:

1. I used the older OTO-Melara 76mm gun rather than the 76/62 Compact Mount to give it a more dated feel.

2. The "Viper" SAM is made up (I didn't want to just blindly put Seacat on). Basically, it's a cabin with four small IR homing AAMs on the side of it, making it roughly equivalent to Sea Chapparal.

3. The rear TTs are retained for homing ASW torpedoes. A more ASW oriented conversion might see the fore or aft 3" gun replaced by an ASW rocket launcher.

Cheers!

Here's some minor improvements:

1. Squid ASW mortar in place of depth charges.

2. Twin 30mm in place of 40mm (lighter).

3. RIBs in place of whalers.

4. Modern life rafts.

Just realised: it still hasn't got a sonar dome!  (Too late now - going to bed!)

Fantastic work on those updated 4 stackers Weaver
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
