I liked the HA Spitfire Martin but this one was a superb piece of work  Great fun with some of the punters as well. 

Definately think we are going to have to get individual score boards for our "kills" with the punters...Dave (Kitbasher) has made "ace" already

Kit. It  consists of one Airfix Lanc, Yee olde M&E Lancastrian conversion, and the 1st incarnation of the HBM Manchester conversion. Which to be honest is a POS. crappy car body resin and the engines........with hind sight I would have used some cloned DB resins Vultures instead. Other wise it worked fairly well.

Robert. Correct ref the central fin and smaller end plates. But whos to say that the Mancunian's where not retro fitted with Lancaster end plates at a later date  I certainly adds to the punter confusion factor.

Chris. Hmm I like your thinking ref a "kill" score board.

Sometimes it's like shooting fish in a barrel, and this is one of those models. It's completely believable, no imagination stretching required..perfect punter ammo!

I've read somewhere that some later Manchesters got the two larger fins that the Lancaster ended up with, so is very plausible.

Mind you, if there had been the third thin and smaller end plate included with the Manchester conversion I would have used them
