I was shootin' for UG-lee but my wife and kid purposely contradicted me, saying this wasn't ugly at all.

Isn't it?  I know it will look different on each monitor and I've got some questions on the image but my main concern is: Is this ugly enough?

Second concern is: does this combination of colors already exist, like in Eritria or some other quasi-fictional country I don't know of?

I've got a weird idea of what to apply this camo on.  Comes from Kinetic in 1:48, has four bang-seats, and rhymes with "howler"....

Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Looks a bit like the experimental Peanut I camo tested on A-10's, never went past the trials though.  I think some Soviet birds have seen similar colours too?  I'd say if you wanted to go for 'ugly' camo, try mixing colours that don't really suit?  One of the main examples can think of is El Salvador F4U's were they were painted messily in any jungle style colours they could find over the base US Navy Glossy Sea Blue.

There was also a Peanut II scheme where the colours were a bit more vivid:

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Have to agree with Simon there.  It looks a helluva lot like Peanut.  Regarding a brown scheme that the Sovs used, there was a scheme that used two tones of brown with a very drab green that could almost pass for brown.  I've always had a soft spot for the Peanut scheme, so I wouldn't suggest your's is ugly at all John.

Also agree with Simon on the South American idea.  Some of their stuff is very ad-hoc and haphazard to say the least which leans towards the ugly end of the spectrum.

I think that in order to come up with a really "ugly" camo you have got to mix colors that don't go together.  Pinks, blues and greens  or reds, greens and purples....  Hmmmm.  This sounds like an interesting challenge.  I may play with this a while.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

I suggested Testors square bottles of purple, orange and bright green.

Mossie, Great minds think alike! First thing I thought of too  I seem to find ugly schemes without trying. Anything with some of that dunkelgelb in it (It looks good, but basically on only one thing --German armor, where we have grown accustomed to it) , maybe with some purple? :-X would probably turns some repulsed heads!

Using those colours on a quasi-Swedish AF 'splinter' scheme would be 'interesting' for sure!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model
