The Wooksta!

Another one of the Tempests that were put on hold last January.  This one was actually finished in time for Telford.

Home cast resin engine and ventral scoop.  The drawings show a 6 blade contraprop but frankly, a Wyvern prop fits just as well and looks much better.

As promised, some photos of the finished product.

Breaking one of my own rules, it's in the markings of 74 Sqn and finished in late war 2nd Tactical Air Force colours -no Sky tail band, Black spinners and the yellow band around the Type C wing roundels.  74 sqn was attached to 21st Army Group and used for close support duties.  My extended war scenario sees them in a similar role, but used to locate and destroy the point defence interceptors used by the Luftwaffe, Wehrmacht and Waffen SS.

Yes, my extended war builds feature colour schemes used in the post war period as that's the way they were going, hence Lancasters would be MSG with black undersides, day fighters DSG/Dark Green with PRU Blue underneath.

Agree totally
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I was a fully paid up member in 2006!  The first one (NMF with SEAC markings and markings for Beamont) is now retired due to a collapsing u/c.
