I was fortunate enough to recieve an air compressor and air-brush of my good lady wife for my birthday prior to christmas.  I've had limited experience with an airbrush, mainly just paintling  N gauge trains, which are 1 colour and small (1/148).

Need something to practice on, I acquired a cheap 1/72 Hornet, and using some inspiration from Coops213 work, I've made an attempt on a Hornet wearing WW2 South pacific Spitfire Mk VIII cam, in particular 79 Sqn.  http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,25486.720.html

Its not finished yet, not by a long shot, here is a progress shot after a couple of days work.  My masking needs some improvment, so too my paint mixing skills!

Looking good so far (great stuff in the background there as well  )  Airbrushes are FUN! When I first got one I would buy stuff already complete, like cheap die cast cars or planes, or old toys. Stuff that would cut build time but increase airbrush practice
