Discussing suitable food for the Meerkats, we hit upon the idea of collecting dead flies, soaking them overnight in Klear, and then glueing them to appropriate positions on the vehicles.
Just amade another figure for the latest Meerkat vehicle.....slice head off Tamiya 1/35th figure, add a Meerkat head (use super glue) to the figure (head from a Meerkat pup), and smooth the join with a scarf made from tissue soaked in white glue/water mixture.

Simples

You wouldn't ??  Oh it's Terry he would  ;D

Wonder if you can get Mongoose figures suitable for 1/35th ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Like this Indian Mongoose?

Or this Yellow Mongoose?

Both though, I fear are to a different scale to your Meerkats.

You do realise BTW, that Meerkats are members of the Mongoose family?

And also that the Meerkat shares its den with the Yellow Mongoose.

But my Meerkats (as seen in the thread re Coventry/Warks Show....just posted by Van)...are looking for other Mongoose. Enemies in particular are the White Mongoose (definite reactionary strand) and the Black Mongoose (terribly evil and prone to strange cults).

Beetle juice is a favourite, and many meerkats carry crushed ant cakes.

Simples!! Eeekksh!!

Meanwhile, the second Meerkat vehicle, from a cavalry deployment, has been primed and painting will continue probably tomorrow at Stafford club night, unless i get itchy paintbrush.

Shouldn't the flies be used like smoke launchers?  Organized rows, all at the same angle, like the dischargers on a Leopard or an Abrams...
