Small Monitors for Overlord

I have just been reading Allied Escorts of WW2 and have just stumbled across a paragraph outlining how consideration was given to converting

Hunt, River and Castle Class  ships to Monitors for Operation Overlord

They would have been given 2 single 6 inch guns  2 twin 40mm and 6 twin 20 mm and a new superstructure

I wonder what they would have looked like  maybe similar to abn updated version of the small WW1 monitors

Mentioned here on this site before is the MCLWG for the Spruance DDs, the 8" gun considered for the forward position. But that's outside this thread's scope.

The USN Littoral Combat ship is about the size of a corvette, though more of a destroyer escort in function, in that they are mean to be multi-function on a small platform. The USN might find a use for less expensive coastal vessels in the corvette size and function range.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
