This a bit of a cheat as I am using a die-cast model; I bought it a couple of years ago in a junk shop, and I have been meaning to do something with it for some time.  It is inspired by the film the Wild Geese; and it will be used to provide my AK47 armies with some air support.

I have removed the wheels and undercoated.

Very very cool idea! I once turned a Matchbox Learjet into a USAF light bomber, using decals to outline the bomb bay doors, as well as a couple of Gee Bee-style toys from the Tail Spin cartoon.

Keep us posted, I like COIN and this could turn out very, very nicely :-D

I had some paint 'trouble'...so once I have sorted that out I will post some more piccies of the 'build'.

Finished - just needs a varnish coat...

The base is made out of coffee tin lid, with flock (tea!) and lichen for a tree/bush effect.  At last my armies have some air support!

Haha, cool! I had one of those as a very young child. Mine was (is, possibly, if it's still kicking around in a box somewhere) yellow and blue.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<
