I have an idea for a project, but I need an engine mount for a 1:72 inline engine, preferably for a Daimler-Benz but anything will do in a pinch. I could scratchbuild something from photos, but if there's a kit part or aftermarket set that suits that would be easier. Does anyone know of such a thing?

The Dragon 1/72 Do.335's have them Alun

I'm pretty sure I have a set from a Dragon Ta-152C...

The Wooksta!

They're on the sprues common to the C and H but intended for the Jumo 213.  If you went with the Dragon Do 335, you could also nick the engines as well as the mounts...

Aeroclub did some Merlin mounts at one time, not sure if they're still available, and they're superbly done, and quite strong too off course, being white metal.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model
