Thanks guys!

Yeah, if I had the scratch building skills, it'd be great to have some Dino Riders with leafy roundels.

Excellent scheme (and you've convinced the paint to stick to vinyl!).

After I painted my first dinosaurs, I noticed they started to get tacky.  I read on another forum that enamel paint stays tacky if applied to vinyl... So, I clearly learned the hard way.  To prevent that problem this go around, I dipped the whole dinosaur into Future to create an acrylic barrier between the vinyl and the enamel paints.  I put on the primer last week, and so far, no tacky surface!

Very smart with the Future idea!! I would have never thought of that

hold on a sec... was walking buy my dinosaurs when I noticed one of the Brontosaurus was looking a little glossy.  The little one is starting to get tacky, but so far the big one and the Rhino are still fine.  So... the future dip may not work in the long run...

I just didn't want to spend X # of $s to buy acrylic paint just for practice models.
