Hey Guys, Can Anyone Tell Me what would be a Suitable Building to use for an ASR(Air Sea Rescue) Dio? i was thinking of setting up a Hangar with Aircraft but Wasn't sure about Using it. Should i go for a Hangar or Just use something to look like the Plane is on the Runway? What Say You? thanks for looking.Dan

Hangers are good for civil ASR -- ie USCG helos, fixed-wing searchers (Cessna to Fokker) etc.  While Canadair water bombers & Orions seem to be parked outside on the hardstands.

Military seem to just park outside on strip ie WW2 Catalina SAR aircraft, or modern helos.
you may as well all give up -- the truth is much stranger than fiction.

I'm not sick ... just a little unwell.

Guys, can Anyone tell me if ASR(Air Sea Rescue) hangars were Metal Sided at times? i'm thinking about using some Sheet Styrene from Evergreen that i purchased @ my local hobby shop for my Dio. What Say You? thanks looking.Dan

The hangars used by 202 Sqdn at RAF Lossiemouth are just normal hangars, with sides, roofs, and doors at each end. The QRA Sea King usualy sits outside on the ramp though, unless the wind is above limits.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
