The Eduard Weekend Fokker D.VII arrived in Thursday's delivery and after going the the Pearson Modeleers' Spring show this morning with my 7 year old, the kit was opened and begun to become Africanized.

Essentially, the kit is going to look much the same save for a piece or two here and there but the fabric detail in select places is being removed to represent a metal skinned aircraft.       It feels really good to be building again.             The lower wing has quite a bit more sag between the ribs so it took almost an hour carefully evening out the surface.     Some of the guys in our club have had fillers crack quite a while after a kit is completed so filler is being avoided except where absolutely necessary.

She's a beauty of a kit and if one hasn't had the pleasure, I'd highly recommend it.

Piccies to follow.   It's bath night for the kids so it might be a day or two or three.

I have been reading World War I the African front (before studying interfered) and was kicking around an African WWI plane. So neat to see you doing this!    Nice job on the wings. Sounds like you are having fun
